Playing it down - effectiveness of clay therapy, origami and building blocks in the management of dental anxiety among children aged 6-10 years

Background: Children experience dental anxiety during their first visit, which affects the quality of treatment and gives rise to behaviour management problems. Clay, origami building blocks have been effective in alleviating hospitalization pediatric patients. These successful techniques hospitalized patients seldom used set up. Methods: Sixty years, with no previous dentist exposure, Frankl’s rating 2 or 3 having caries international detection assessment system (ICDAS) score requiring restorations without local anesthesia were selected divided into four groups. Group 1 – therapy; group - blocks; origami; 4 tell show do. Pulse rate, facial image scale (FIS) face, leg, activity, cry, consolability (FLACC) scales quantify anxious behaviour.
